Telephonics Corporation Announces Contract for TruLink at Boeing Facilities in Renton and Seattle
Boeing to Purchase TruLink for Washington Facilities
Press Releases on July 08, 2013
-
Telephonics Corporation (Telephonics), a wholly owned subsidiary of Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF), announced The Boeing Company’s (Boeing) decision to purchase TruLink® Wireless Intercommunication Systems for its facility in Renton and its Seattle Delivery Center, both located in Washington state. This order comes after successful implementation of TruLink at Boeing’s Everett Delivery Center in 2012 and 2013.
The TruLink Wireless Intercommunication System will provide safe and secure communications for employees during towing procedures, while eliminating ambient noise during loud engine tests and pre-flight maintenance. TruLink’s hands-free, voice-activated, and wireless features will eliminate the need for the Boeing team to use hand signals or whistles, increasing efficiency, and strengthening team communications.
“TruLink’s versatility as a wireless, hands-free system will give Boeing teams the upper edge for a safe and efficient work environment during aircraft maintenance and engine tests,” said Mr. Joseph Battaglia, Telephonics' President and CEO. “Telephonics is honored to support the teams that work on Boeing aircraft.”
